ART -

Hi First Graders!

Did you have fun with your foreshortening drawing? Did you try a drawing using your feet too?! It looks odd to see your hands and feet so much bigger than your head, doesn't it? But that is the realistic way to draw when something is closer to you, it is larger.

This week we are creating our own scratchboards! We will continue to celebrate Spring by scratching a flower design into crayon layered scratchboards. The videos are entitled, Spring scratchboard, (modified May 5) The lesson is explained on several videos. They are labeled, PART A.,B.,C.,D, and E. PART A has examples of finished designs. The rest of the videos explain the process.

You will find the lesson at this link:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ujVVH9DD7FXKbU6tWo7-Zi2UVMkYU3Ga

I hope you enjoy "revealing" your lovely flowers as you scratch away the black crayon layer to expose your colorful design!

Love and miss you all!

Mrs. Touchton
